THIS IS OUR PSALM!!!

Matt and I just finished up this space-electro-grind EP that we began working on in 2007. I recorded vocals for the first track then and neglected to finish vocals on the remaining 3 until last week.

John Titor is a project revolving around the conquering of space, a nearly fatal experience with a crossing the event horizon of a black hole, and a repenting of the aforementioned colonization of the cosmos with a return to Earth to start life anew. Usti Waya- Oonawieh Unggi (2013)

This is the first (official) album by Usti Waya (Quidditas). The spirit of Usti Waya has been in existence for a few years even though many albums were recorded under Quidditas. 

Quidditas' original intent in making art was to explore and experiment with various sonic mediums and soundscapes. Over time, Quidditas' artistic exploration adopted an apocalyptic sentiment of resistance to the psycho-bio-social-spiritual genocide and global-scale oppression caused by civilization and its death-urge toward the total destruction of our planet. 

The message conveyed in the music is not intended to be nihilistic, but is one of faith and hope in returning to a state of Edenic harmony with the animal & plant kingdoms, the land, and the Great Spirit. Some believe that we can work toward this distant dream in our day-to-day lives by seeking the wisdom of our ancestors and indigenous cultures around the world. 

Usti Waya (Cherokee for Little Wolf) will be the vehicle by which this theme will be further explored, and Quidditas' purpose will be pure vibratory experimentation. Usti Waya seeks to continue the legacy of the majestic grey wolf, which is on the verge of extinction on Turtle Island (North America) due to a current proposal to remove federal protection under the Endangered Species Act. 

Oonawieh Unggi (Spirit Of The Wind) is an album revolving around air and its gift of life.

Our friend Ben Rosenbach (Our Alarm Clock, Faithful Mates) Just recorded this new hotness. Some really excellent  spacey/mountainy (maybe space mountainy) synth-drone. Also, an announcement regarding Quidditas' split for Hausu Mountain coming soon.

Future Projects and Happenings

• Quidditas as well as Clovermite who has gone by the name Faithful Mates and who has been loosely associated with Iwithsiae, have been playing a few shows in the Philadelphia Area. Both are playing this Tuesday at Silk City in Philadelphia.

• Quidditas will be a part of a split cassette series this summer or fall with Hausu Mountain 

• Aeron of The Big Ship and Raleigh of Quidditas have been working on a collaboration that is in the works for release sometime this year, maybe under a new moniker.

• We have been happy with our first batch of 6 cassettes and are looking forward to putting out a second batch of new and old stuff later this year.

• Our own Iwithsiae coconspirator Matt (of Abscissa, Unto Sheol, analuseos) will be be releasing his magnum opus doom metal triliogy finale, Maribel, projected for May or June with his main project Potmos Hetoimos. Guest vocalists inclue Mike Armine (of Rosetta) and Gastrix (of A Forest of Stars). We're excited for this one. It's been a long time in the making.

First Batch of Cassettes!

Wow, I can't believe that after 7 years of digital distribution, (with the exception of Iwithsiae Noise Compilation Vol 1. and a very limited edition cdr version of analuseos-kronios) that this day has arrived.

The first batch of cassettes are in! Many hours went into their creation and they are something we are proud of. We are still working out details of the distro, and we will have the tapes available on the site shortly under the store section. Tapes will also be available at shows and will be pay-what-you-can/suggested donation.
