This website is dedicated to the now extinct record label Iwithsiae Records.
Iwithsiae began in 2006 when two friends embarked on a journey to share their abstract experimentations with sound with others. The two quickly allied themselves with other local, national, and even global artists with the common ideal of sharing music freely over the internet. Over the years many individuals have contributed towards building the label, and a branch was created in the Wisconsin/Michigan area (Iwithsiae North). Iwithsiae's philosophy has always revolved around non-ownership, anti-copyright, and free distribution. As a label, Iwithsiae fizzled out sometime around late 2010 or early 2011.
Iwithsiae Records has always been more of a collective of like-minded artists than a record label. The Iwithsiae spirit continues today but operates more as a place to share music rather than a label. This blog will be used to catalogue Iwithsiae's releases as well as share new music from friends and artists previously involved with Iwithsiae Records.
