Whakaī is the first album in a two part series that revolves around the Maori concept of reciprocity and the ceremony of giving (Whāngai Hau). This first album is dark in tone and is is antithetical to Whāngai Hau, the second album in the series.
Ka meinga e ahau ōu mano tini, te hunga nanakia o ngā iwi, rātou katoa kia hinga i ngā hoari a ngā mārohirohi: ā ka pāhuatia e rātou ngā mea whakaī o Īhipa, ka ngaro anō o reira mano tini katoa
By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.

Welcome
We decided to create this site to commemorate, consolidate, and catalogue the now extinct Iwithsiae Records noise label. The sidebar contains artists who were at some point in time involved with the label. Most albums have a link to a site where you can listen/download. More recently released albums have been uploaded to bandcamp so you can hear them in higher quality; older releases are mostly relegated to last.fm.
A few artists are still involved with making music and continue to release albums. Iwithsiae will live on as a experimental/noise collective, no longer operating as a label.
Enjoy!
We are going to kick this off with a new release by \\\\////, enigmatically entitled "////\\\\".
